Bipartisan IBOGAINE Act introduced to codify Trump psychedelics executive order

Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Morgan Luttrell (R-TX), joined by Lou Correa (D-CA) and Jack Bergman (R-MI), introduced the IBOGAINE Act to accelerate development of and access to psychedelic therapies for serious mental illness. The bill would direct the attorney general to decide within 60 days whether to move ibogaine from Schedule I to Schedule II and would require rescheduling proceedings for any Schedule I substance that completes Phase 3 trials. The legislation would enshrine President Trump's psychedelics executive order into federal law, a potential catalyst for the sector.
