State of Mississippi (policy) — Governor Tate Reeves signed the Ibogaine Drug Development Clinical Trial Act, appropriating roughly $5 million to help fund clinical research aimed at winning FDA approval of ibogaine.
The law directs Mississippi's research consortium to coordinate with, and use the same drug developer as, a lead consortium in another state, effectively tying its effort to Texas's larger ibogaine program. The move adds to a fast-growing wave of state-level psychedelic research funding.
