U.S. Federal Government (policy) — President Trump signed an executive order titled 'Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness,' directing the FDA to prioritize review of psychedelic compounds and instructing the DEA and other agencies to ease research restrictions.
The order named compounds such as psilocybin and ibogaine, allocated roughly $50 million toward federal-state research collaboration, and set the stage for expanded access pathways. Psychedelic equities rallied sharply the following trading day.
