AtaiBeckley granted new U.S. patent for oral R-MDMA candidate EMP-01, extending exclusivity to 2043

AtaiBeckley Inc. (ATAI) — The USPTO granted AtaiBeckley a new patent covering the drug substance of EMP-01, an oral (R)-MDMA formulation being developed for social anxiety disorder, providing expected exclusivity through 2043.

The patent claims a highly crystalline, thermodynamically stable HCl salt form with high aqueous solubility. EMP-01 is in exploratory Phase 2a, with topline data expected in the first quarter of 2026.
